Our store was born from a passion for children's clothing and the lack of such a store in our own neighborhood. Tokkelientje offers a unique assortment of baby, children's, and teen clothing, toys, books, and accessories.

Who are we?

Berdine, together with Joyce, started Mano & Noa in Noordwijk at the end of 2022. The meeting between these two remains special: playing with their children on the beach. Coincidentally, they shared the same dream, the same energy, and the same ambition.

Berdine is the creative one of the duo. Always looking for new trends and the most (outrageous) combinations. Ber has two children, Noelle and Aaron, and lives with them, her husband Sander, and two cats in lovely Noordwijk Binnen. Her favorite brand is hard to pinpoint. As long as it has lots of color and a touch of craziness. Probably Sproet & Sprout, though.

Joyce is the 'Excel nerd' of the duo. She regularly calculates whether everything will work out and exactly how. Her previous jobs in marketing and sales at Schwarzkopf & Henkel and Bacardi still come in handy.

Joyce is also a children's coach, something that truly makes her heart beat faster. How do you stay true to yourself as a child? How do you become who you want to be? Currently, this is on the back burner, as she has three wonderful little ones at home who make her heart beat just as fast.

And then there's Emiel. He joined the business when Tokkelientje was acquired. From the stability of being an assortment coordinator at OLVG to entrepreneurship. With an equally keen eye for the assortment as for the margins.

Emiel also handles everything online. Entrepreneurship is in his blood, as his father was also a true entrepreneur. If there's one thing he learned, it's how important it is to be wise with money and to invest every euro well.

Favorite brands: Gray Label and Repose AMS. (Although that might be a little influenced by his wife.)

Tini, our dear all-rounder. In every sense of the word. Four children, fluent in three languages, and probably a few more she can manage with. And if that doesn't work, then sign language will do. This woman wants to and will understand you no matter what. Love and empathy are her middle names.

Formerly a successful dancer, and you can still see it. Nowadays, not on stage, but at home, she dances a lot with her children Frieda, Jacob, Romy, and Anouk. She has a lot of experience with preloved clothing (Achtung Baby! in The Hague), which is also very welcome here.

Tini works on Wednesdays in Noordwijk and on Saturdays alternately in Noordwijk and Leiden.
Favorite brand: 100% Bobo Choses.

Jonno has been working at Tokkelientje the longest. We were so happy she decided to stay when we walked into the store one day in October for a potential takeover.

Jonno is cheerful, spontaneous, and loves a good time. She gives honest and good advice and is excellent at styling and combining. The art you see in the display window and throughout the store often comes from her.

Jonno has two daughters: Kaja and Maudi.
Favorite brand: Piupiuchick. But now that Repose AMS is in the store, choosing is getting harder.

Then we have Dafne, the other experienced expert at Tokkelientje. Daf is a delightful member of the team: flexible, cheerful, and often up for a glass of wine or a nice coffee from Chummy.

She loves creating beautiful outfits and styling the store, but also enjoys the backend system. Order and overview give her peace of mind. Something we are very happy about, because in our busy schedule, that can sometimes fall by the wayside.

Dafne's favorite brands for her three kids: Bobo Choses, Piupiuchick, and The New. Especially for her son.

And our dear Tannie. On other days a serious OR assistant, on Wednesdays and sometimes Saturdays a creative star in our store.

She enjoys styling the store, coming up with Insta-feed ideas, and creating the nicest outfits. But if the printer isn't working, she won't let it go until it's fixed or we know exactly what's wrong. How lucky for us.

Tannie lives with her husband and three girls in Alphen aan den Rijn.

And last but not least: our 'aunt Jeanne', Joyce's father's twin sister. She helps us on Wednesday afternoons in Noordwijk. What a luxury.

As Jeanne always says: "It's so fun and cozy, I just chat with everyone. And if I don't know something, I just refer them to you, Joyce. I'm too old for that."

Jeanne has two grown daughters and three grandchildren and is a wonderfully active grandma who babysits. We don't know how long she will continue to help us, so we enjoy it even more.
